Oral traditionalist and artist, Hoksila Lakota, was inspired to carve All is One on a buffalo skull, representing the perseverance of the buffalo in bringing together the two legged, four legged and winged ones, as one nation.

Through this piece, Hoksila honors the buffalo nation, and his own peoples, and their endurance to withstand mass removal from their natural lands and habitat, almost to the point of no return.  The buffalo, as with the Native American people, were preserved by the creator, for another time and season when it is prophesized that all nations, and all living things will come together as one.
